Show RELEASE BRITISH SHIP. Vessel Suspected by United States of Furnishing Coal to Warships, Cleared. San Diego, Cal. Acting in accordance accord-ance with telegraphic instructions received re-ceived from Washington, Deputy Collector Col-lector of Customs Clarence Sprigg announced an-nounced on Sunday that the British steamer Kingsway, which has been detained here, was released and that he would give the ship clearance papers pa-pers to any port in the world. Captain Cap-tain W. E. Tomkins, of the Kingsway, declared that he would leave this port For Vancouver. Despite the fact that his ship will be allowed to sail, the British captain Is not satisfied. He asserts that he will file a protest with the British vice 2onsul here against the Kingsway being be-ing detained by the American port authorities. |
