Show CENTERF1ELD. Oct. 8 Sunday was duly observed as an occasion of prayer in response to President Wilson's proclamation. Bishop A. C. Fjeldsted offered the invocation in-vocation for peace and C. E. Embley followed with appropriate remarks, in the Sunday school. At the regular sacrament meeting- prayer was offered by IlansC. Jensen and remarks pertinent perti-nent to the occasion were made by Brigham Jensen, C. P. Larson and John S. Bardsley. Elder Jens Becl; of this ward was chosen at the September stake priesthood priest-hood meeting to fill the vacancy in the High Council caused by the appointment ap-pointment of D. H. Beal to be the bishop of Ephraim North ward. E. II. Bardsley left Saturday to teach school at Rockford, near Park j city. Among our visitors at conference in Salt Lake were Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Christiansen, Mr. and Mrs. Soren An-, derson, Mr. and Mrs. Mads P. Peterson, Peter-son, and Joseph Bardsley. Eldon and Miss Dorcus Childs, now attending the Snow academy visited at home here during conference. |
