Show APPEAL TO PARENTS. To the patrons of the Gunnison Public Schools : We, the teachers in the schools of this district, desire to call your attention at-tention to the admitting of your children, who attend school, going out at night. We have found that those who have fallen in this habit are not able to do tbe work of the grade, and are liable to fail at the close of eohool unless something is done. In being out at night they are not only unprepared in their work of the following day, but they are sleepy, inactive; their brains ire slow to act, and therefore in no fit condition to do the work of the day. Furthermore it creates a dislike for sohool or a lack of interest as these children cannot take an active part in the work at hand, aud therefore become disgusted. In Bshalf of the Tsachers, JOHN BEAL, Principal. |
