Show LOCAL ECHOES. --Have you heard the band? It's the high school doing it; and who of us are not pleased to see evidenced, plough the (season is far advanced, the musical art among our young folks. The orchestra makes an Initial appearance for the dance, at Fayette this Friday night. M. II. Sperry the well known piano tuner is stopping at the White house In Gunnison. Persons having pianos or organs in need of repairs will find Mr. Sperry at their command, on reasonable terms, during the next few days. Advt. E. D. Sorenson of Manti, juvenile Judge, lectured Sunday evening before be-fore the conjoint meeting of the mutuals. Mr. Sorenson's talk, well received, was on lines of reform, the tobacco habit and the evil of auto Joy riding being given special stress. The Self Culture Club gave the president, Mrs. C. M. Madsen, a sur- '..'.. prise Monday afternoon at her home. ..;.- The company enjoyed the game of 0(1 and otherwise had a delightful '.-.' time. Mrs. J.A.flagan captured first prize and Mrs. Laures Larson the consolation. Luncheon was not for- gotten in the makeup of attractions. Fifteen ladies were present on the 1 occasion. A wedding supper was served atj the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ch'aries C, Bosshardt, following the ceremony. The bridegroom is a sou of Anthony Madcen. Two new members were elected on the board of the Gunnison Irrigation company at the election recently held, namely Bishop A. C. Fjeldsted of Centertield and Hans C. Olson of Ax-tell. Ax-tell.
