R R R Mrs. William Perkins on Saturday evening laBt entertained in honor of the teachers connected with the Washington school. For the choice supper beautifully served by the hostess hos-tess covers were laid for twenty. The time was enjoyably past, cards leading lead-ing in feature, Mayor Knighton and Mrs. C. W. Perking swiping the prizes to the dismay of C. W. Perkins the booby winner. There were present pres-ent Messrs and Mesdames John Beal, H. M. Childa, J. M. Knighton, Newell Christanson, A. E. Sorenson aud C. W. Perkins ; Mrs. Yettie Sorenson Sor-enson ; Messrs. Leander Thompson, Sheldon Anderson and Lionel Sorenson Soren-son ; Misses Jensen, Day, Parshal and Bywater. X R R A pretty event of the week took place Tuesday evening at the home of Miss Jane Metcalf, who was joined by Mrs. O. Gustaveson in tendering a party in honor of their friend, Miss Elvira Peterson, who is shortly to leave Gunniaon. Gaines and charades furnished delightful amusement for the thirty-one guests present The gum game caused no end of fun. All were given cards, a chewing of gum, and a toothpick with which to mould some animal. Miss Cora Yepson's stork received first prize, Sheldon Anderson's An-derson's zebra second, while Mrs. Lillian Perkins and Mr. Schwab captured cap-tured the boobies. After alphabetically alphabeti-cally pairing the ladies and gents, luncheon was served. The first course consisted of buttermilk , graham gem a and carrots, followed by meat sand-wichea, sand-wichea, fruit salad, cake, pie and lemonade. lem-onade. Professor Thompson rendered render-ed a couple of organ solos, and Messrs . Knighton, Jones, Anderson and Fjeldsted favored with a quartet. The entire affair was most enjoyable. |
