Show Gala Time Had By Old Fclks At Centerfield. In their twelfth annual reunion held Wednesday of this week the Old Folks of Centerfield enjoyed a most splendid treat at th e hands of the younger class. The meetinghouse was decked in gay attire at-tire for the occasion, and the committee com-mittee in charge spared no pains in seeing after the comfort of every guest and provided an entertainment thateclipsed any former occurrence of these gatherings. Assembling alp. m. a general handshaking put all in good spirit and in a feeling of reunion. A varied yiuyiuu men enieruainta until t o'clock, when an elaborate dinner was served in the ante-room, first to the elderly followed by a second and third seating. A second meal was served in like manner during the course of the evening. There was no cessation from the opening until the closing hour at midnight mid-night of features for entertainment of all. Dancing was thoroughly enjoyed, en-joyed, enlivened by the introduction of songs and reminiscent talks. A charming bevy of ladies had work in plenty catering and serving at the banquets. Under direction of Mrs. Lizzie Bogh at this appointment were Mrs. Mary Petersen, Mrs. Anna Jensen, Jen-sen, Mrs. Emma Hansen, Mrs. May Beck, Miss Carrie Tollestrup, Miss Kate Bogh, Miss Rdse Hansen, Miss Mary Hansen, Miss Affalone Jensen and Miss Mearl Jensen. The oldest lady present was Mrs. Stina Christensen, aged 83, the mother of Walter C. Christensen; the oldest man was N. C. Tollestrup, aged 80. The committee is certainly deserving deserv-ing of a good word for the success that, crowned the labor conuected with' providing the details. Chairman Chair-man C. A. Petersen was assisted in the task by George Peterson, Andrew Bogh, Soren Anderson, Nina Peterson, Peter-son, Lizzie Bogh, Stena , Anderson and Mary Petersen. |
