Show Dynamiter Gets Long Prison Sentence San Francisco. Charles S. Picard was sentenced Saturday by Judge J. F. Blendsoe of the superior court to serve twenty-five years in Folsom prison pri-son for planting dynamite with intent to kill. Picard had trouble with his wife, who left him and sued for divorce, di-vorce, and when officers went to his home to compel him to vacate, there was a dynamite explosion which wrecked the house and severely injured injur-ed an officer. Picard claimed he fixed up an infernal machine In his home In the hopes that his wife would coma back and be killed. |
