plugged weeds cut around the city park and the park itself being clean ed up by a group of young folks working like they were killing bum me b e bees you pan can now find md the park and that tennis court some of the fellows iloni have ten ton writing about that nobody plays tennis en on well I 1 I 1 think I 1 have found ant out the reason some of 0 these young folks eat aties for breakfast so they will be champions so they get so strong that when they hit those tennis balls they just don t stay in that fence around the coart and land out in all those weeds and tall gi gaass ass they just cant find the ball hall so that ends the game which is about the same fix the scotchman wao wa in when hen he went out to play golf ad ard t start playing because he could not find any of the other fellows lost balls I 1 bet that park is going to be a real pretty place when it t is all trimmed up and everyone will enjoy eating those good green river watermelons on watermelon day another thing I 1 have often wonder ed Is why these folks that sell green river grown cantaloupes don t put up a sign telling the world that these cantaloupes are grown here and th tt no place in the world will vill you find any better ones why dan dant t I 1 iou u try one and see what I 1 mean getting back to the town changing so fast you know when they get gett all these weeds out of the street and along that water canal folks will get kind of pf lost so t it be nice if there were some street signs put up on the corners so a fellow can find oat o it where he Is and how to get L I 1 1 there is also a lot of new folks coming into town and som of them that are missing will probably be found wondering around right on the street in some of those healthy weed patches I 1 expect to corn com in some ume and b be able to see all the way down the streets and neve see a weed it could happen it also be nice to have all the housea housed numbered so strangers coald find 5 ou they might want to buy your uranium claims nearly every time I 1 get into town I 1 hear rumor from some of the boys that probably has stayed in town too long iong and put their toot foot on the brass rail too many times they think thin some of the boys have found a little uran ium aum in around moab village so guess some of these days when I 1 am able to get some new shoes for sure foot we may amble over that way and see if there is anything to it I 1 also heard some other things about that moab place seems as though some salesman came thru there and sold the city council a gadget you put on the street and it takes money adya from you when iu IOU park your car near them and some of the boys over there are howling about it and don t think it is legal I 1 guess it is something like those bright lighted places olt out there on the nevada desert where yoa can never win for loosing if we e get down there to moab village I 1 be dang if I 1 put a nickel in those gadgets just for old sure foot to stand there when he can stand and generally does all day on the desert for or nothing WM A fellow does see some of the most amusing things looking thru a key hole as I 1 strolled down the street I 1 came to the barber shop and the shade was pulled down so I 1 just took a peep thru that key hole and there set that newspaper man mg ing with the barber to give a crew heir cut at a bargain price I 1 slipped away as quietly as possibly for I 1 don t like to get into those kind of arguments the next time I 1 come to town I 1 hope bope to find out which one won the argument mm that line those highway boys ru run n down the middle of the highway right here in town only it is not in the middle has not been moved so a serious traffic hazzard still exists exias oy people of the business side of the street backing out in the line of moving traffic and another thing it makes me think my eyes are going bad and that I 1 am off center some body should tell the city council about it before some cars gets busted up and people skinned up I 1 am getting tired waiting for any more of th those se california cars to come thru go so if I 1 can round up old sure foot and get that sack of grub tied on him we will get back out there in the desert and get a breath of fresh ay air and watch another one of those pretty sunsets that no artist can paint w tiny has been doing a pretty good job getting these odds and ends printed by those newspaper people so I 1 will slip this under the door and if it gets in print will have to buy some cheese for him hasta la vista another thing somebody should tell the city council about is those guys that drive big trucks and cars over the sidewalks and bust them up now most of you folks know there isn t any to many sidewalks in town and I 1 can t see why the ones that are in should be busted up about 10 00 paid to the judge would stop that I 1 guess some of you uranium hunters that have been sleeping out I 1 in the hills at night has found out that a little tinge of fall is in the air and that a blanket feels good before morning I 1 have also been looking for other signs of fall like these california women tourists wearing more clothes but so far no such sign as I 1 guess it is the custom to wear hardly anything out there at any time maybe that is why calif ornia is noted for its scenery not a bad drawing card i |
