Johnson and her daughters Helen and Florelle are in Berkeley visiting Mrs. Johnson's John-son's mother, Mrs. J. Beatty. Mrs. Esther A. Gaw is visiting in Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. DInlnny are in San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Fisher Harris has returned from Chicago L and is at home with his mother, Mrs. Fisher I Harris. p Mrs. H. S. Henderson entertained a party of friends at her home in Emigration canyon on Monday. A pretty wedding of the week was that of Miss Ruth Swaner and Frederick L. Stauffer which took kplace at the Stauffer residence on Tuesday. Mrs. Samuel Adams of Denver and Mrs. Gus-tave Gus-tave Luellwitz were the guests of honor at a luncheon given by Mrs. Christopher Diehl on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hampton have gone to California. In honor of Mrs. J. J. Daly, Mrs. James Ivers gave a luncheon on Tuesday. Judge and Mrs. William H. King are spending spend-ing a month in California. Miss Margaret McCluro left on Tuesday for San Francisco and will return the latter part of the month. The marriage of Miss McClure and Mr. Armstrong will take place September 8. Among the Salt Lakers who have entered the golf tourney to bo hold at Del Monte the first of September, are Harry K. B. Davis, Arthur Copp, Harold Lamb, P. B. McGurrin and E. S. Armstrong. Arm-strong. Mrs. A. H. Peabody has returned -from the meeting of the National Federation of Musical clubs tn Los Angeles. C. W. Whitley entertained at a dinner dance on the roof of the Utah on Tuesday, followed by a supper at his home. ' Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Barrette are motoring through Idaho. Miss Florence Kimball is spending August in California. Miss Elma Darling, Miss Olive Benson and Miss Lucile Reed have gone to Berkeley, where they will enter the "University of California. Mrs. Charles A. Gillette is in San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Jay T. Harris and children are on an outing in Wyoming. 'Miss Helen Cox left for New York on Wednesday Wednes-day to make her fall purchases. .Miss Cox has been making arrangements to open a new shop for women since her recent withdrawal from the Stephenson-Cox firm, and will open one of the finest appointed establishments in the city in the Keith Emporium within ten days. |
