Show ROOT UP THE OLD TREES. Aud Srnka way for Younger and Moro Profitable Varletlea. Wouldn't this be a favorable time to rid your orchards of all old trees of every species that have spent their usefulness long ago, to make way for fresh young trees of better varieties, which could be planted plan-ted with profit next spring? There are thousands of old apple, peach, plum, apricot, par and other kinds of trees now occupying valuable room in many orchards in Brigham City, which Lave done worthy service for a score years or more, but have long passed the zenith of their usefulness and today to-day stand like greedy old drones sucking much nutritive richness from the earth, to the detriment of young and more valuable trees, their own scanty crops being comparatively com-paratively worthless. Free your premises of these worthless old-timers old-timers as quickly as possible. They make better fire-wood than fruit bearers. If you have nothing particular par-ticular now to do, you cannot spend your time more profitably than converting thsse trees into winter fuel. |
