Show "THE KAISER BRIDE" H AFTER several weeks of search for H a story for Gail Kane, during H which time practically a hundred H scripts and books were read, a script H was prepared for her by John Col ton. "The Kaiser Bride" is the title H which it bears. It touches lightly on the war but its main theme is cen- H tered on conditions as they existed in H Berlin previous to the war and their M influence on certain circles In Ameri- ca at the present time. It is a serious ijl study and is said to carry a message. ijk Mr. Colton, the author, is a student H of sociology and a writer of expe- M rience. "The Kaiser Bride" is the first story of a series he will prepare for M Miss Kane which will show the effect H of the war on various phases of life. H "The Kaiser Bride" might bo termed H a war picture of a different order than H what has been issued up to this time. while touching lightly on the war, but goes deep into the effects. M Miss Kane, who has read through M many scripts in search of a story, is H enthusiastic over "The Kaiser Bride." ,H "I consider the story not only timely," ! remarked Miss Kane, "but one that is M thoroughly original.
