GRANTHAM CALLED I James Grantham, 46, boh of Mrs. i Mary Grantham, ot this city, passed I to his reward Tuesday evening, fol. lowing an operation In tho local hospital, hos-pital, i He was born at Baron Funme, j Innkf8hlrc, England, September 1875. i When ho was about 0 years of age, J ho, with his parents, came to America i and settled In this city whero h0 has spent most or his life. In 1010 ho was married to Myrtle Gresn of Trementon, through which ! union six children were born. Most ot his life has been spent in farming and mining. He wns a good church worker and nt tho time ot his demise' he held tho standing of an elder In tho L. D. S. church. At tho time of tho Spanish Amrl. en n war ho attempted to enlist, but when ho tailed to get admittance there he Joined the Fifth Artillery, whero he served for some time. I Willie at tho Presidio, California, ho was Injured when loading a ship. I For this he received n pension. j Besides his aged mother nnd wlfo I ho is survived by six children, all j under 10 years of age. They are: 1 tawrenco, Goldle, Lucile, Kdna, Josso I and James, thc youngest Is 4 montliH J old. Ho Is also survived by the fol. J lowing brothers nnd sisters: William I Grantham of Park City, John Gran. I thnm of Duchesne, nnd Mrs. Jano J McAllister of Garfield. I Mr. Grantham had been ill for 1 somo tlmo with gnll stone trouble. 1 Saturday he underwent a successful I operation but later complications set I in nnd thc end came lato Tuesday 1 night.
