Show FISHING GOOD IN THE STREET. Fishing on Fifth street was good Friday and , tho fish were so tame that no line, hook or bait was necessary. The fish simply drifted in with the flood. John Ranche, assistant to John H. Flaherty, superintendent of the Men's Industrial Department of the Pittsburg Association for the Improvement of tho Poor, picked up a ten pound bass, 21 inches long, from tho wator opposite Home's store. Tho fish was kept alivo in a tub of water throughout tho day and exhibited to all who doubted the fish story. Pittsburg Dispatch. |
