Show Queen of Irrigation Congress MISS LUCILB MAY FRANKE of Salt Lake, has been selected for the Queen of Irrigation and Era- J press of the Valleys for the National Irrigation Congress, which opens at Salt Lake Monday. The Queen will bo attended by a maid of honor from each county in the state. Utah county has named for right maid of honor Miss Nina Taylor, of Provo, and Davis county ha3 "named for left maid of honor Miss Maltie Thoinley, of Kays-vllle. Kays-vllle. The following countios have already named maids: Morgan, Ivy Welch, of Morgan; Summit, Ethel Hales, of Park City; Tooele, Rebecca Atkin, of Tooele; Wasatch, Mabel Ritchie of Charleston Millard, Grace Hopkins, of Deseret; Beaver, Irene Jackson, of Beaver, Carbon, Jessie Harmon, of Price; Wayne, Belle Pace, of Loa; Garfield, Fenella Hey wood, of Pangultch; Kane, Bessie Spencer, of Kanab. Preparations for welcoming and entertaining en-tertaining the largest attendance on record at a session of the National Irrigation Congress are now complete, and a program of addresses, discus-i3io"iis discus-i3io"iis and entertainment features that will excel that of any previous session will open at 0 o'clock Monday morning. morn-ing. Exhibits of irrigated products from all parts of the intermountain region will be in place at the special Irrigation Irriga-tion Congress exhibit at the state fair, and the city of Salt Lake, with the business district ablaze with electric lights and gally decked with flags and bunting will be turned over to her thousands of guests for the week. |
