Show "ARIZONA" r The Garrick opens for the season Monday evening of next week with "Arizona" as the initial bill. Beyond a question, the house has a splendid line of attractions for its patrons this winter and a company to play the shows, that is high class in every respect. Mr. Geo. D. Parker, the leading man, and Miss Clifton, his co star, are both at the top in their profession and associated asso-ciated with them are such artists as William Bernard, Walter Seymour, Margaret Dills, Helen ollier, John R. Sumner, Elizabeth Ross, and others. Opening with "Arizona," as it is the most practical play to begin the season with, the Garrick will follow it with Elsie Ferguson's success, "Such a Little Queen," and then a list that includes "The Witching Hour," in which John Mason was seen here last year; Viola Allen's Al-len's drama, "The White Sister;' Arnold Daly's play, "The Penalty;" Gertrude Elliott's starring vehicle, "The Dawn of a Tomorrow," "The Fourth Estate," the great newspaper play; 'The Third Degree," and a long list of other plays that have and haven't been seen here. The house has been put in excellent shape MISS IlkLcN COLLIER Who returns this season to play ingenue roles with the Garrick Theatre Stock Company. for the season and there is no reason why the Garrick should not now take its place as a flue, permanent home of high class stock for Salt Lake and the intermountain west. Among the changes in the personnel of the attaches of the various theatres about town this fall, is that of the treasurership of the Colonial, the position being filled by Mr. W. F. FitzGer-ald, FitzGer-ald, formerly of the force of the Cort Theatre in Chicago. One of the youngest men in the employ of John Cort, Mr. FitzGerald is a thoroughly experienced ex-perienced theatrical man and hail and well-met personally. ik |
