Show HAPPENINGS AND WHEREABOUTS. f 1 John S. Critchlow will entertain a party of a dozen friends at a farewell luncheon at the Hotoi Utah today. A beautiful dinner was given on Wednesday evening by Dr. and Mrs. G. F. Stiehl in honor of Mrs. William R. Foster of New York, who -is the guest of Mrs. Leo Charles Miller. Covers were laid for ten. Mrs. R. E. McConaughy entertained on Tuesday Tues-day at the first of a series of bridge teas at her home on East Second South. Miss Gladys McConaughy has returned from her eastern trip during which Bhe attended the Mardi Gras. Mrs. H. G. Whitney was the hoBtess at a bridge tea at her home on Fourth avenue, on Thursday. On Wednesday Prof. Edward Bayliss entertained enter-tained at a studio tea which included an informal in-formal musical program. He was assisted by Mrs. Paul Keyser, Miss Mamie Ross and Miss Eliza Dey. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Keith will have as their guest during the coming week Mrs. Horace Mlddleton of Denver. W. H. Dale and Clarence Dale left for Los Angeles on Tuesday and will bo joined later by Mrs. Dale. They will make their future home in that city. Mr. and Mrs. George L. Nye, who have been visiting Col. and Mrs. T. G. Webber, have returned re-turned to their home in Denver. Mrs. C. Ira Tuttle has gone to Los Angeles for a stay of several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Sol Siegel have gone to Los Angeles and San Diego and will spend some time in San Francisco before returning. Boyd Park has returned from Los Angeles where he has been visiting his daughter, Mrs. Chapin. On Monday Mrs. Priscilla Jennings entertained enter-tained fifty of her friends in honor of her seventy-fourth birthday. Her daughters and grand daughters and a number of intimate friends assisted as-sisted at the tea. Mrs. Fred Dern entertained her bridge club at her home on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. William H. Child are at home temporarily at the Hotel Utah, where they will be until their summer home at Cottonwood is completed. J. W. Houston and Miss Bryan Houston have returned from San Francisco. In honor of Miss Lois Steers of Portland, Mrs. Ernest Bamberger was the hostess at a luncheon at the Alta Club on Tuesday. For Mrs. William R. Foster of New York, Mrs. L. H. Farnsworth will entertain at a luncheon today. |
