Show PIOCHE COALITION INTERESTING. Since an expert examination has shown that the water encountered in the Golden Prince shaft of the Pioche Coalition company at Pioche is the permanent water level, the Coalition has become a center of interest. Although the water will necessitate ne-cessitate the installation of pumping equipment it is not unwelcome sine it is thought to mark the beginning of a sulphide zone in which the values washed from the lime and shale above will be found redeposited. Having no pump in readiness readi-ness the Coalition has stopped work in the shaft at 640 feet and turned its attention to the driving of a crosscut southwest from' the 600 station. The maps show that in 1,100 feet from the shaft there are no less than five north and south fissures. The first of these should be tapped by the new crosscut within 300 feet. South of the Golden Prince and the Prince Consolidated the Centennial Centen-nial Pioche is pumping out its 525-foot shaft and preparing for the use of a diamond drill. The drill, It is explained, is intended to show the geology geo-logy rather than the mineralization of the ground. Late letters from the Pioche Demijohn report that the raise from the 200 level is in ore streaked with galena and has but twenty feet more to go to connect with a winze from the 125 level. |
