Frank Pierce as First Asslst- B ant Secretary of the Interior. A most true and ca- B pable man is Mr. Pierce. He has every quallflca- fl tlon for the place that has been tendered him; B he will reflect honor upon the office and upon hlm- B self. He merits heartiest congratulations, and B those congratulations extend beyond him; the B Government, is to be congratulated in securing his services. B The loss will come to his friends and to Utah.
