AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ordinance granting a franchise to tho Citizens' Hoatlng & Power Company, a corporation, tho right to extond, construct, con-struct, maintain and operate a steam or hot water power and heating system, sys-tem, or both, In the City of Salt Lake, and to vend said steam and hot water to tho City of Salt Lake and its inhabitants, inhab-itants, and said ordinance as amended on the 23rd day of April, 190G, and subsequently sub-sequently on tho first day of September, A. D. 190G, assigned to the Salt Lake Public Sorvico Company, said assignment assign-ment being approved by tho City Council Coun-cil of Salt Lake City on September E4th .IL. U. J.UUU. Bo it ordal,ned by tho City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1. That Article 9 of said franchise be amended and changed so as to read as follows, to-wlt: Article 9. It is further agreed upon and made a part of this franchlso that tho Citizens' Heating & Power Company, Com-pany, its successors or assigns, shall lay at least four miles of steam main, prior to October 1st, A. D. 1907, or that part of this franchise which particularly particu-larly specifies this right or concession in this ordinance or franchise, shall bo forfeited by tho Citizens' Heating & Power Company, its successors or assigns. as-signs.
