Be It ordained by the City Council I of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. It shall bo lawful for the City Auditor to issue to the bona fide holder of any scrip against any special tax fund of Salt Lake City, 8 pn surrender of such scrip, by such holder thereof, a special tax warrant, or warrants, of the denomination provided pro-vided by law, for the aggregate amount value of the scrip so surrendered; surren-dered; and the Auditor on issuing such warrant or warrants-, shall do-note do-note in writing on the back thereof, the scrip number, and the amount due on such scrip; And provldod, further, that in any case, where warrants have I been heretofore issued against any I such special tax fund, without author- I Ity of statute or ordinance in that bo- f half, such warrants may on surrender j thereof, by any bona fide holder of j the same, be exchanged in like manner 0 a scrip, for such special tax war- rants.
