Show HYRUM 75 KILLS 4 theodore N Lili liljenquist enquist dies rather than have both legs amputated OGDEN oct OCL 7 theodore N liljenquist 75 years of age and tor for more than sixty years a resident of 0 hyrum committed suicide at the northwest corner of 0 lester park this city shortly after 10 this morning by shooting himself in the head bead he died while being taken to the hospital mr liljenquist was severely injured in an automobile accident in ogden august 28 and tear fear that he would have to suffer the amputation of 0 one or both legs leg gs Is said to have preyed upon his mind until he became unbalanced mentally in a pocket was found the following note written on oil the back ot of a letter which he had received from his daughter mrs N W christensen at hyrum dear friend my legs I 1 guess I 1 will have to lose them it is s more than I 1 can stand so goodby may god forgive me since the automobile accident mr liljenquist Lili enquist had been living at the home of friends on reeves avenue his son in law and daughter mr and mrs N IV christensen of 0 hyrum had just returned from a mission at the time of oe the accident and were to come to ogden friday of this week and take mr liljenquist jenquIst LiI to their home mr LII liljenquist jenquIst was born in copenhagen denmark and came to utah with his parents when a child his wife died some years ago and preceding her death had operated a hotel at hyrum tor for many years he Is survived by tour four sons and three daughters they are arthur of 0 long beach cal chester and cleveland 0 of los angeles farrell 0 of garfield Garti eld mrs G IV weston of laketown Lake town and mrs N IV christensen of 0 hyrum the body was brought to the stohl mortuary in this city tuesday evening by undertaker B D M thompson and prepared for burial it was removed to the family home in hyrum wednesday I 1 where funeral services will be held and interment made |
