Show In fifteen minutes the most beautiful three- f cornered light In the world was in full blast, and the peaceable Inhabitants of the c!ty were all behind be-hind barracaded doors. Ships can go close up to the shore in that beautiful harbor and it was easy to see from the ship what was going on. They signaled each other, then all put off boats and marines; and one by one the fighters on land were picked up and sent back to their respective respec-tive ships. The only moral to all this is that when sailors who have long been pent up aboard ship, are given shore leave, plenty of room, a little lit-tle something to eat and plenty to drink should be provided in advance. |
