Gobelins gave a loom For Fragonard's gay pictures; when his doom Struck and he sickened, this was all his pride; Yet Time, a friend, remembered. So today, Though gone the gold-bronze on the oaken stair, And broken Cupids the great terrace strew Where Venus stands no more, the young Prince May Flushes the place withyoses everywhere: The dreams of youth, not plans of age, came true.
