Show MOTOR MOTIONS. Interest In the autdmoblle show that has been arranged for the week of February 19th to the 26th in the Auditorium on Richards street, has increased to such a degree that the success of the exposition is assured right now. The dealers' association in charge of the show have perfected plans, many of which are already in operation, that will make it the biggest affair of its kind ever held in the inter-mountain states and certainly the finest and most completely equipped motor car exposition in the history of the business here. The entire space at the disposal dis-posal of the dealers in the Auditorium has been carefully laid out and twelve firms have been apportioned a space approximately thirty by thirty-three feet, sufficient for the display of practically prac-tically all the models carried in town and the dealers are now negotiating with the eastern manufacturers whom they represent for the display dis-play here during the show of the cars specially built for the New York and Chicago shows. The Chicago show closes the week before the local show will be held, and it is expected that the manufacturers will consent to unloading of the show cars they send from the Chicago exposition to the coast here and have them displayed at the Auditorium. The Botterill cbmpany has already received word from the Chalmers-Detroit people that their Chalmers-Detroit 30, specially built for the New York display, will be sent to Salt Lake for the show here. The body of the car is finished fin-ished in white and gold, the upholstering being of white kid and the car is said to be one of the mosit costly and finest ever manufactured. Within the next two weeks other dealers expect to be able to announce the securing of similar cars from the manufacturers whom they represent. Ware and Treganza are planning the decorations decora-tions for the Auditorium for the show week and the dealers have arranged to spend several hundred hun-dred dollars in making the big building attractive and pretty. |
