An ordinance levying a tax and for tho assessment of property on both sides of Earl's Court, between Third South and Fourth South Streets, In Sewer District Dis-trict No. 1, for the construction of a sewer. Bo It ordained by tho City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1., That tho City Council does hereby levy tho tax and provide for tlio assessment of tho same upon the property hereinafter described in Sower District No. 1, for tho construction of n sewer, to-wit: In Lots 2, 3 and 7, Block 37, Pin "B," abutting on both sides of Earl's Court between Third South and Fourth South Streets. This tax Is levied to defray tho ex- ipenso of constructing a vitrified pipe sower eight (8) inches in diameter upon the portion of said court opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described de-scribed to be especially affected and benefited bv said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established es-tablished that wald property will bo especially es-pecially benefited thereby to the full amount of tho tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land aro hereby assessed, at an equnl and uniform rate in accordance with tho linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-flvo (25) foot bnc therefrom, and tho tax hereby levied and to bo assessed upon f.ald parcels of land Is eight hundred oightv-five and R2-100 ($855.52) dollars; four hundred forty-two and 7G-100 ($442.70) dollars, or one aifd 45,167-100000 ($1,45167) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting proporty for sewer assessed at tho full rate, there being 305 feet abutting said portion of said Improvement: and four hundred , fortv-two and 76-100 ($442.76) dollars, or 72,584-100,000 ($0.72584) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property assessed as-sessed at half rate, there being 610 feet of abutting property on said poition of 1 said improvement, which Js the total I t..n.dt-,cpjj:j2arfja.DiPPL.JlJL.aal4. sewer according to tho contract entorod Into for tho performance of said work and making said Improvement, with Davis & Heuser Construction Cornpp , dated tho 6th day of July, 1909, and .e Treasurer Is hereby authorized and dl-sected dl-sected to assess in accordance with tho provisions of this ordlnanco for tho purpose pur-pose herein mentioned: Proporty Assessed At Full Rate. Tho south 305 feet of tho west side of the east 144.5 feet of Lot 7, Block 37, Plat "B." Property Assessed At Half Rate. The noith 305 feet of tho east side of the west 140 feet of Lot 3, and the north 305 feet of tho west side of tho east 140 feet of Lot 2,Block 37, Plat "B," Salt Lake City Survey, as tho same are shown upon the official plats of caid city to a depth of twenty-flvo (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and bo dellnuent in five eual installments, as follows, to-wlt: One-fifth thereof one year after the approval of tho ordinance confirming tho levy of tho tax for the payment for such Improvement; one-fifth thereof In two years after such approval; one-fifth thereof In three years after such approval; one-fifth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-fifth thereof in five years after snch approval. One or moio of said Installments, or tho whole tax may bo paid on or before ten days after the approval of tho ordlnanco confirming con-firming the levy of tho tax. Each of said Installments shall bear interest in-terest at the rate of six (6) per cent per annum from the date of tho approval of tho ordinance confirming the levy of said tax until date of dellnuoncy, and eight (8) per cent per annum from dellnuency until paid.
