| Show february 8 1915 J francis merrell was elected president of 0 the club under new system ot at election provided tor for in the amendment to the constitution ution the board of directors ot of tile the foi following meeting chose C W knudson as president wm win T davis treasurer and mr J L pierce secretary and manager nov 9 1915 the question ot at a sugar factory tor for brigham city or vicinity was brought up and after discussing dia dis cusing the same for some time tt it was moved and seconded that wynn L eddy and J L pierce act as a committee to write a series of 0 articles tor for the newspapers agitating the question with a view of 0 securing a factory carried jan 21 1916 J francis merrell ivas was elected president ot of the club tor for another term and at the board meeting on oil the 2 wm E davis was chosen vise president and wm T davis treasurer and leroy B young secretary wm win E davis was chosen manager and all were to serve without pay at the same meeting it was moved and seconded that dr 11 T willey investigate and report on the question ot of lighting Ligh tins system tor for brigham city at the annual meeting held jan 12 1917 mr E M tyson was elected pros ot of the club and at the directors meeting following A L eddy was chosen vice president it T willey treas le roy B young see sec and house manager J L pierce and frank losse custodian feb 2 1917 it was moved and carried that the board of governors meet with the city council tor for the purpose of devising ways and means to improve the water supply of 0 brigham Bri Rhani I 1 on july 20 1917 a committee composed of 0 E W dunn victor E madsen W J lowe J D peters and john 11 zundel were named to investigate the matter ot of local city government and to report later on bet 12 1917 this committee rad ead its report and it was moved and carried that the report bo be adopted and tiled filed and that committee be given a vote of thanks for the valuable ser vice nice rendered and that the secretary have the briten report published in both papers together with the anfor motion mation recommended to the citizens of 0 brigham city by the box elder commercial club jan 11 1918 wm will E davis was elected president and at tile the directors meeting following N C simonsen was chosen vice president wm win E i davis treasurer and W 1 I mcneil see sec 1 jan 10 1919 john L pierce was elected president ot of the club H L abramson vice president wm win T davis treasurer and john G wheatley secretary on feb 21 1919 the club went on record as favoring the joining ot of main alain I 1 street and authorized the good roads committee to circulate a petition to that end aug 29 09 1919 N chris simonsen was elected president of the club tor for the coming year T IV hunter vice president and W R holmes secretary on march 12 1920 the tees fees were raised to per month at the same meeting a motion carried to el ploy a permanent secretary on march 31 1920 mr loroy leroy shelby was employed as permanent secretary ot of the club and was required to furnish bond in the sum ot of mr shelby assumed his duties as secretary april 16 1920 1 the formal opening ot of the new headquarters I 1 was held may 11 1920 1 i at a meeting of the board 0 at governors held august 26 1920 the following was passed unanimously resolved that as a board of governors of I 1 the box elder commercial club we unanimously favor the voting of bonds in the sum ot of tor for the purpose of 0 rebuilding din the electric power plant now owned by the city of brigham iii the matter of 0 the purchase of 0 water in the hammond ammond II canal was also receiving attention during the year in jan 1921 wm win T davis was elected president rees wight vice prest den and orion jensen as treasurer may ath 1921 W V call was elected secretary of 0 the club to become effective june 1st ast |
