Show Reading of the precautions which are being H taken to insure the President against harm on H his Western trip is a reminder of the days of the H Pilgrim Train. As the Pilgrims pulled into Span- JM ish Fork Station, deployed and marched up town, ;H a squad of riflemen from a near-by town who had fll joined the train that morning, fired salutes as the "thin line" marched into town. An old lady was watching on the corner and as the procession jH passed was heard to exclaim in broken Welsh: JH "The dirty cowards, they had no occasion to H bring along those guns; there's not a person in JH Spanish Fork who would hurt a hair of their H heads." H Still the precautions are all right. It Is but as H yesterday that an assassin struck down a blame- jH less President. IH |
