Show The musical selections at the Salt Lake .heater have never met with such popular approval as since Mr. Shepherd was given the leadership. The orchestra is much better bet-ter than those of the Columbia and California Cali-fornia theaters in San Francisco, and it is a pleasure to go to the theater for the music mu-sic alone. A leader need not stoop to ragtime, rag-time, but on the other hand it wasn't necessary nec-essary to bore people with a long line of classical music, over the heads of half the audience, every time they dropped in at the play. Success to Mr. Shepherd and his good work. Thank heaven he has judgment combined com-bined with his genious, and isn't afraid to stay on earth occasionally. |
