In Denver-the people are showing symptoms of fear lest a water-famine overtakes them, they having had no snow to speak of during the winter. Of course there is yet M time for a part of the deficiency to be" made up, but they are troubled. There is less snow on ihe M eas'tern slope of the Rockies than was ever be- M fore seen by white men at this season of the year. H The arid belt seems to have entered a dry-weather H cycle.
