'fP j On Monday evening, July 28th, the palatial new MNI'iJilJ home of the Elks was thrown open to welcome its Bu'l''1 host of friends and the stranger in the city, who Hll'j A gathered within the elegantly decorated rooms to Brit nl H witness the dedicatory ceremonies incident to the BlU'! formal opening of the beautiful edifice. Three III! w hundred and fifty members of the B. P. O. E. took lirlli Part in the exercises and subsequent festivities, HM;. 1 among whom were visiting brothers from Eastern Hi! If t I and Western lodges, and from basement to roof 111 I J the beautifully decorated rooms were ablaze with HnlNI electric lights, laden with the sweet breath of IjNilf multicolored flowers and flaming with life and Hi !Ih1 laughter, from the brilliant assembly of knights Bf 18 111 and elegantly gowned ladies. j"! The programme opened with a triumphal B 'flfiil march by the Twelfth infantry, United States I K "HI hand, and the opening ode by the members of t. If-. tne lodge. The ritualistic dedicatory -ceremonies '4flLt followed. "The Grand Old Ocean" was rendered I i'YllF' by T- S Ashwortli, Fred C. Graham, John Robs' Rob-s' " ' inson and J. W. Squires. Mr. Ashworth rendered I $ m i a tenor solo, "Without Thee," and the band played !i;, ' W the Coronation hymn. "Friends" was the title El'J of a baritone solo by H. S. Goddard, which was ffMili followed by ritualistic work, and Fred C.
