Show As we understand it this city is bonded up to the limit. At the same time the old complaint of an insufficient water supply is as much a heartburning heart-burning question as ever. Money is going begging in the East at four per cent. To bring the water out of the Cottonwoods in will cost perhaps $760,-000. $760,-000. Why would it not be a sensible thing to contract con-tract with some man or company to bring in that water, to pay the interest and one-fifteenth of the principally annually until the debt is liquidated. The expense the first year would be $95,000, but that would grow less and less every year to the end, and then the city would have ample water facilities for all time to come. As it is, there is a mighty expense ervery year and the increased supply does not keep up with the increased demand. |
