Show PROGRESS MADE BY BOY SCOUTS ogden gateway council report shows conditions to be excellent OG OGDEN DEN dec 21 the annual re port of 0 S dilworth young scout executive of the ogden gateway council boy scouts of 0 america submitted to the council at the annual meeting shows that scouting in the district which comprises weber dox box elder morgan and northern davis counties made good progress during the tha eleven mouths months prior to december lat the present enrollment ot of scouts Is given as 1548 1519 distributed as follows in tile the various districts of the council oden mount ogden weber north weber central morgan DG 36 davis dox box elder bear river during the year scouts were added to the council and were dropped the latter being tor for many reasons natural in such on an organization there are seventy eight troops in the district the scouts by rank are classed as follows tenderfoot second class first class merit badges promotions since january 1 are as follows tenderfoot to second d class second to first class 84 first to merit badge 28 the eleven months of 1926 showed gains over 1925 according to mr air youngs report there are six more troops in existence this year than in 1925 A table in the report shows that the greater number ot of scouts in the council chiare are those of 13 years of age there la Is an abrupt drop after theace of 13 to half this thid number with the scouts of 14 1415 15 16 and 17 years of age being approximately equal in number the court of honor during the year has held sixteen meetings given badges to boys and awarded badges in all mr youngs report shows during the year boys at J tended camp at a per der capita operation ja itose af the camping tee fee charged the boys was 4 50 each the re port enumerates many activities of a public nature in which the scouts took part during tho the year plans are now being considered by C angus gus wright chairman of the council for the annual fund campaign which begins in february |
