Show Poor old Jack Monroe is still undismayed. He intends to pick up all the remnants that were left of him by Jeffries a few nights ago, and get a fresh pugilistic start by fighting Gus Ruhlin in the near future at Butte. The match should be a good one and more or less even. Pugilism never had a pair of more wretched false alarms than Monroe and Ruhlin, and a bout between them should provide some little excitement at least. Possibly Pos-sibly in this encounter, Monroe will do the gum chewing and smiling. He at least nas a great deal more pluck than the Akron acrobat and for that reason albne he should win, as neither of them has enough science to dodge a freight car. No . other town would have the temerity to star Mon-rfoe Mon-rfoe in another bout, but if Butte wants him it certainly is not up to anyone on the outside to object. ob-ject. It is around to both of them to follow the old formula of defeated dubs by starting a saloon. |
