Show New Schedule For USD A Rural Development In Garfield County U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development is announcing a change in scheduling for the Garfield County Office. The new scheduled office days in Panguitch will be the first Wednesday of each month. Beginning Wednesday, March 3, a representative from the Cedar City office will be at the USDA Service Center at 225 East Center in Panguitch from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. A representative will also be available to go to the Tropic, Escalante, and Boulder areas as needed or by appointment. appoint-ment. Garfield County is serviced from the Cedar City Office at 2390 West Highway 56, Ste, 13, Cedar City. USDA Rural Development housing programs increase access to affordable, well-built homes in rural communities. Homeownership promotes economic eco-nomic strength for families, stabilizes sta-bilizes neighborhoods, and con- sequently enhances the quality of life in rural Utah. By providing provid-ing direct and guaranteed loans to very-low, low, and moderate income individuals and families, fami-lies, Rural Development not only helps rural people acquire homes, it helps build better lives and better communities. Through our Home Repair Rehabilitation Loan and Grant Program very low-income rural homeowners can pay for costs to make essential repairs, improve or modernize their home, remove heath and safety hazards, or make their home handicap accessible. The grant' program is available to very-low income rural home owners who are 62 years of age or older, and unable to show repayment abili- ty for a loan. Grants are limited to a lifetime cumulative total of $7,500. |
