Show Tropic Mz:!F If we are no better tomorrow than we are today, we are not very useful. If we attempt to progress intellectually, spiritually, and physically, phys-ically, . it is a step towards contentment con-tentment and peace for our souls. Joe and Anita Pollock and girls, Amelia and LaVay and a friend, from LaVerkin, Utah, and son, Bodie and his father, Larry Woodgeard, from New Mexico, spent an afternoon with Janet Pollock during the holidays. It was Anita's birthday so they celebrated with a dinner and a birthday cake. Doug and Sharon Hess and three kids from Roy, and Kendra and Eric Vickair from Mississippi surprised Lynn and Alan Munson with a weekend visit during the holidays. Louise Ott spent some time with her daughter Marilyn Holley and family in Slaterville. On her way she stopped in West Valley City to visit Clara and Sam Arce. Louise met her son, Richard, in Salt Lake City. Richard and his .family will be moving from Okinawa later this year. The Martin Ramsay family enjoyed Triessa and Bret Hep-worth's Hep-worth's visit during the holidays. Then all the family celebrated the new year by going ice fishing at Fish Lake and caught some very nice fish. Carl and Kay Shakespear and two daughters traveled to Wyoming, Wyo-ming, to visit and bring in the new year at the home of their oldest daughter Kara and her husband Shaun Kunz, in Laramie. Jim and Louise England celebrated celebra-ted the New Year with Louise's son, Darrell Shakespear and family in Las Vegas, and also with Jim's daughter. While there they also visited with Norm and Clella Little-field Little-field who wanted to send a hello to everyone in Tropic. Lance Syrett married Sara Slater in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. Those attending the wedding reception recep-tion in Las Vegas from Tropic were his parents, MonDell and Florence , Syrett, and his brothers and sisters and their families: the Ron and Susan Harris family; Brady, Shawnee Shaw-nee and Whitni Syrett; Stefan, Amy and Madison Syrett; and Skyler Syrett. Sydney Syrett and friend Russ Stephenson flew in from Phoenix and met them there. Also attending were Rella Al vey, Janet Pojlock, Kerry and JoNeil Alvey and boys, all of Tropic. Those from Las Vegas who were in attendance were Teresa Deccio and Kenneth and Ida Alvey. Shaine and Anne Anderson from Panguitch were there too. Other friends who showed up were Shanon Pollock, Wayne Ott, Slate Stewart and Mark Munson. Everyone Every-one had a good time. The Dave Pollocks house went from two people to a house-full for the holidays. All of their children came home. Derrick and Laura flew in from Oklahoma and were happy to see the Utah mountains again. Kenny has been in Nebraska working for a couple of months and came home for the special occasion. Shawn, Mary and Shawnee Pollock came from Cedar City, as did Trevor, Jolynn, Calli and Bryce Pollock, and Sheldon who has been . attending Southern Utah University. Universi-ty. Brad and Yolanda Cowan of Hurricane, and Elsie Goulding came and had a really good time with everyone. Visiting Adrian and Glenna Pollock were Grant and Darlene LeFevre from Bountiful. i Franz Shakespear has been taking Shelly, John and Jim ice fishing at Panguitch Lake. There have been many fishermen there with some having luck and some not so much luck. Those either in or returning from various hospitals, and hopefully hope-fully on their way to recovery, include Lynn Munson, Mae Chyn-oweth, Chyn-oweth, Ann Marie Johnson, and Robin Chynoweth. |
