Show Paria Movie Set What If It Should Rain? The Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is finalizing plans to celebrate National Public Lands Day by inviting volunteers to assist in the reconstruction of the Paria Movie Set postponed to Saturday Nov. 11. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Movie Set site. In the event of rain, the reconstruction project will be rescheduled to take place at a later date. We're supplying doughnuts, T-shirts T-shirts and baseball caps, and Houston's Trails End Restaurant and Mobile Catering is generously donating lunch. Here's a checklist of items you should bring to make your National Public Lands Day more enjoyable: long pants, long -sleeved shirt, work gloves (leather is best), layers of warm clothes and a hat (sweatshirts and rain gear are recommended), sturdy leather boots, sunglasses, sunscreen, a camera (for next year's photo contest!), and your photos of Kane County Little Hollywood days to share with fellow volunteers. Contact Becky Zurcher at 435-644-4623 with questions. We're looking forward to seeing you there! |
