Show Tiiopicnuvjs By Vicki D. Syrett 679-8687 vickidiane36hotmail.com Kris and Krisette Roberts have been called to teach the ten and eleven year-old children in Primary in the Tropic LDS Ward. Charlie and Eva Dean Francisco were all prepared to stay home alone for the Christmas holiday. Daughter Sandrea Francisco, however had arranged a big surprise for them. All the Francisco children and grandchildren to came make it a special Christmas for their parents par-ents and it was special indeed: Sharon and Robyn Griffin of Monroe, with Shad, Sherri, and Shane, and following behind them were Lloyd and Helena Mortensen of Parowan and Charles and William. The families fami-lies gave Eva Dean a guitar to replace one she had broken years earlier and then they made dad Charlie, over his objections, go shopping and get a new suit. Eva Dean kept wondering who the stranger was sitting next to her in Church Sunday. It was the first time for Christmas that they had all the family together in one place and Charlie and Eva Dean had their own surprise for the girls. They gave them digital cameras to take pictures of their family before everyone was all grown up and gone from home. Many tears of love and gratitude fell and everyone had a great time together. Dorie Baugh, Dana Courtright and daughter, Emily, went to Provo to spend a few days. While Dorie was attending attend-ing classes at the Mentor Academy, Dana and Emily went shopping. On Saturday, they went to St. George to help out Grandma Shanna Waite (formerly (for-merly Goulding) and her husband hus-band with some projects in their new home. Shanna was injured recently when a recliner they were moving fell on her. She is ; going through therapy and working hard to recover. Joseph Alma Jensen, 13-year-old son of David and Debbie Jensen of Central Valley, just received his Eagle Award, one year to the day after his older brother Jordan received his, also at 13. Grandparents Arthur and Vicki Syrett of Tropic are very proud of both boys. Earl Slack is home and recovering recov-ering from his recent surgery. He said he is feeling well and can't wait to get back on his feet. He has taken leave from the National Guard while this has taken place and will report back to them on Feb. 8. Seems awful fast to be going back, but Earl can't stand to be still. Jacque is so glad to have him home for awhile,, even under these circumstances. She still plans to visit with daughter ; Khristine Ebell and her three ; ! children in Richfield. The new little baby girl is doing fine and ; Khristine and the kids have moved to a larger home. - |
