Tarynn Piatt was in St. George attending the LDS temple tem-ple there. Many of her family members were there for support. Russ and Lyllian LeFevre were in Dixie for the graduation of a granddaughter. After that they went on down to Mesquite for some R & R. Ernie and Wynona Henderson, Doyle and Joan Jackson and Kenny Goulding were in St. George and Ivins for doctors appointments on Friday. They visited Mitch Henderson and enjoyed dinner and shopping. shop-ping. On Saturday Ernie and Wynona, Marie Jagger and Klinton Chynoweth took fourteen four-teen youth to do baptisms for the dead at the St. George LDS Temple. The youth are to be commended for their service and reverence. Ernie and Wynona met Frank Jackson as the youth shopped at Wal-Mart. He reported that he and Pat, Jim and Jeanene Kinder just returned from the Kentucky Derby. We are all happy Jeanene is feeling so good. Lael Chynoweth and Wynona reminisced remi-nisced with Pat and Jeanene. Those really were "good ole days." Helen Willis attended the region track meet and really enjoyed it. Max and Logann Eagar were in Cedar City on Wednesday to celebrate Max's birthday. The youth of Henrieville LDS Ward enjoyed a special musical fireside at the Tropic Ward on Tuesday, presented by the Institute at SUU. It was a very special treat. Ernie and Wynona Henderson went to Salt Lake City on Wednesday where he will have a cornea transplant on Thursday at the VA Hospital. Steve Goulding and wife, Kathy had to go to St. George on Monday where he had shoulder surgery on Tuesday. One of those ornery cows got her way on Saturday as they were trying to load her in the chute. Ramona Copfer was in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah Medical Center to take her granddaughter, Lisa for a checkup check-up following her recent illness. Gary and Sandy Johnson spent a weekend moving their daughter and family, Brady, Ruth and Treyton Carter from one end of Cedar City to the other. The Carters were able to rent a home with a two car garage and a fenced in backyard for their child to play in. May 8 was Institute graduation gradua-tion for Esther Johnson in Cedar City. Gary and Sandy Johnson, along with Treyton and Ruth Carter were able to attend the ceremony. Gary, Sandy and Essie Johnson spent the night at the Carter home. Gary returned home the next day while Sandy and Essie traveled up to Provo to spend the night at Rachael Johnson's home. Sandy was able to visit her mother, Wanda Lifferth in the Care Center. Essie and Sandy attended church with Rachael and were able to hear her speak in Sacrament meeting. |
