Show Panquitch Wzm By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 Thanks and honor go to Hope Goukling for her faithfulness in calling in the news from Panguitch LDS Fourth Ward and happenings in that, part of town. From the time I started "writing this column an requested her help, it has been here. If a week was missed, she apologized even though she reached the point where she could not write down the happenings and had to ask someone else to do it so she could call it in. A fine and true lady and friend. She is missed. In Third LDS Ward Sacrament Meeting, the welcome home and mission report of Elder Ben Matthews Mat-thews was held Nov. 22. He is a son of Vcrl and Elaine Matthews. The Jimmy Cooper family sang a musical number. Many friends and family members were here. Brandon Philpott was ordained a deacon. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Philpott. A baby girl was born Nov. 24 to Tim and Dacy Hudson. Big brother Hayden welcomed her as did grandparents Mike and Sandy Hudson, Mike's mother, Barry and Arlene Davenport and Harold ' and Winona Sevy. Jim and Hannah Goulding, ' Cedar City stopped at mom Hope's and told her she has a new great-grandchild as Michael and wife have a baby girl who is named Beverly so the Goulding family has two Beverly Gould-ings. Gould-ings. Shanna Goulding, of St. George, stopped to visit Hope and Elsie Goulding here and the Herb Baughs, in Tropic. During Thanksgiving week, Kristy and Johnny Gann, with son ' Trevin, came for a visit with her parents Rick and Robbie Irish. Then, Thanksgiving Eve, they all went north along with grandpar- . ents Pat and Ileta Dix to visit : with Melodie and Tom Wood in (See PANGTUICH on page 5-A) Panguitch News Ffdrh page 2-A Roy-. Then to the home of April arjd Mike Thomas in Roy, where they ' all enjoyed a sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner together. ', According to Pat and Ileta, one sure way to really appreciate living here in Panguitch is to take a trip' along the Wasatch front on the 1-15 corridor. Mable Harris spent the holiday in Marysvale with her daughter and family. In' Fourth LDS Ward Sacrament Sacra-ment Meeting, the mission fare-weir fare-weir for Elder Brent McKee was held. He will serve in Mexico. Speakers were Eileen Castro, Darwin, Brenda, Debra, Norman and Sarah McKee and Elder Brent McKee. A special musical was played by Ilean McKee on the flute and Stephanie Frazer on the piano. Prayer was given by Norberto Castro. Jeff Taylor was sustained a teacher. Elder Lark Reynolds was given his "Duty to God" award. Over 40 people enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Charles and Lorene Hepworth. Some of those present were Kevin and Lisa Hepworth and son Lee, from Colorado; Pam Owens and children; Robin and Stephanie Maye and baby Dayton; Aurelia Adair; Kelby Higbee; Ralph and Beverly Goulding; Troy and Caulen Pollock and son Kazan; Gretchen and Ian Sullivan and son; Joel and Nancy Dutton and four children; Paul, Laura, Kim, Robert and Katlynn Julander and Hope Goulding. Jerry Mosdell is ill at home. His brothers and sisters have been here to see him. Panguitch native Opal Worthen Zimmerman lost her husband Joseph on Nov. 27. Their home is in Sandy. Opal is the daughter of the late Floyd and Iva Worthen. The Jay Proctors and daughter Gwen Frandsen, made a trip to Caliente, Nev. to visit Tom Proctor Proc-tor and Shana Rae Proctor Witters. Wit-ters. They met Shana's husband-to-be. She will be married to Ron Young Dec. 1 1 in the St. George LDS Temple. Alta Orton and Thora Proctor are home from the local care center. cen-ter.
