Show Tropic News By Louise Ott 679-8776 Visiting with Gloria Hayden this week were brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Inez Windberg from Keams. Shirley Haycock and Dixie Shakespear attended sessions at the St. George LDS Temple and stayed at the temple cottage. They enjoyed en-joyed the time together. Royal and Rella Alvey's granddaughter, grand-daughter, Andrea Alvey, brought some friends to tour Bryce Canyon and visited with her grandparents. Sara Littlefield and Agnes Lit-tlefield, Lit-tlefield, along with their sister Rose Olsen, visited their other sister, Louie Shakespear, in Orderville. Wallace and Mary Ott went to St. George to visit their children. They went by was of Orderville to visit with Wallace's four sisters and to have their pictures taken. Rose Olsen has been here visiting visit-ing her sister Sara Littlefield and they have been busy making candy. Rose worked in candy factory and learned first hand how to dip chocolates. choco-lates. They have also been using up scrap yarn crocheting, making cookies, pies, and mostly enjoying their time together. Jean Syrett had all of her immediate im-mediate family together as they gave her a belated 80th birthday party. Clive Bybee was pleasantly surprised when 65 members of his family threw a surprise party for him for his birthday. Eric and Tracy Syrett and family fam-ily went to California to visit Eric's mother, Mary Ann Julander. Kent and Betty Wintch were in St. George. Rod and Kathern Syrett were in Salt Lake City. Max and Phyllis Stewart were in Provo for doctors appointment. Charley and Eva Dean Francisco's Fran-cisco's daughter Helena Mortensen visited with them from Parowan, as did daughter Robin Griffin of Mon roe. They came to help their mother celebrate her birthday. It was a truly wonderful day, according accord-ing to Eva Dean. Gary Don Pollock has moved back to Tropic. He was in Cedar City taking care of his mother over the weekend. Brother Gayle Pollock Pol-lock helped him move. Carla Ramsay took her parents, Bob and Helen Willis, to St. George. Hilma Haas and daughter Elaine were in California for a week. Ferriland and Orlan Ruesch, along with sister RaVae Pollock, are home from their trip to Arizona. They visited the Tucson area and were able to visit the house they lived in for 13 years. Ferriland said that it was great seeing the footprints foot-prints of their children still in the cement. While in the area, they toured the business that makes modular homes in the Phoenix area, and came home by way of Hol-brook. Hol-brook. Dar and Norma Hatch of Moab were in the area, also. Lester and Vertis Clarke visited over the weekend in Salem. Catherine and Marion Littlefield Little-field visited with their son Austin and his wife Sharlee in St. George. They saw their new home and also visited with son Mitch and wife Jessica. Jessica plays on Southern Utah University's basketball team and was in a shooting contest, where she made 24 out of 30 shots to win the contest for the third year. Congratulations, Jessica. |
