Show Tony and Nan Matthew, Panguitch, are the obviously proud parents of the first baby born at Garfield Memorial Hospital in 1997. Anthony Slader was born Jan. 4, weighing in at 9 pounds. He looks a little bored but just wait til he sees all those nice gifts from local merchants! First Baby Of 1997 Born At Garfield Memorial PANGUITCH Tony and Nan Matthew of Panguitch were quite excited to have the first baby of 1997 born to them. A son, Anthony Slader Matthew, was born to them on Jan. 4, 1997 at 11:15 p.m., weighing 9 pounds, and measuring 21 inches. He is the third child for the Matthews, who have two girls Nicole, age 6 and Kelsey, age 4. Grandparents of the newborn are Wayne and Coieen Miller and Terry and Caroline Matthew, all of Panguitch. Pan-guitch.
