Show Ccmnonvilte I lews By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Andrea McCormick and sons Brent, Marty and Robbie, former residents who now live in Ticaboo, spent several days here visiting relatives and friends and checking on their home here. When they left we were saddened to see a large "for sale" sign on their lawn. Glenna Fletcher and Anita Fletcher went to Hurricane on Friday Fri-day to attend the funeral of a friend, Clinton Isom. When they got there, they learned that his wife, Lillian, had passed away also, so the funeral was for both of them. Jim Clarke attended a Lions Club meeting in Moroni on Monday Mon-day night, and he and wife Erma attended a dinner and meeting in Delta, visiting the Hinckley Lions Club. Harrison T. Groutage and a friend from Logan stopped by for a brief visit at the Jim Clarke home. Gail Fletcher spent the weekend at the home of her parents Larry and Glenna Fletcher. Merwin Dunham was taken to the Garfield Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, but was able to return home later that day. Sheena Clarke received her Young Womanhood award in LDS Sacrament Meeting. Theron and Laurie Coon visited friends and relatives here one day last week. Rosie Fletcher took her dad and mom to Kanab on Saturday. Dinner Din-ner was a special treat to celebrate Rosie's birthday. At the home of Vaughn and Mae Twitchell were granddaughter Cherlyn Twitchell and the Karl Munford family of Cedar City. Bonnie Willis has had more problems since her throat surgery; she got a bad staph infection and they are trying to get it cleared up. I called Dorothy Leavitt and asked for a list of out-of-town relatives rela-tives who attended the viewing and graveside service for Mary Willes Graff on Tuesday and these are the names she gave me: Eugene and Mary's children: Sam and wife Petra Graff, Robert, Cindy, Mary, Nancy, Susan, Sherron, and Kathy, all from the Salt Lake area; other family fam-ily members: Kent and Betty Wintch, Tropic; Dorothy and Howard How-ard Leavitt, Cannonville; Monte and Sylvia Luker, Escalante; Sammy Jean Kennedy and Cindy Peterson, Salt Lake City; Gil and Shirley Powell and daughter Kim Domingo, Salt Lake City; and Kelly Lee and sons Chris and Cory, Panguitch. |
