Show Residents Should Be Cautious In Summer Months With the increase in warmer weather, vegetation will be drying out, causing an increase in man-caused man-caused fires throughout Garfield county. So far this year, seven out of eight fires have been caused by people. Before residents are allowed to burn, they must receive burning permits. Residents are urged to use extreme ex-treme caution with the upcoming holiday season when working with fireworks and having campfires. For questions on fire safety, contact Martin Bridges, Garfield County Fire Warden, 435-676-2219 or the Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands in Cedar City at 435-586-4408. |
