Show - Panguitch Patter - At long last ... the rain. A year's worth in one day. It was as though someone took their tinger out of the dike and it collapsed, it sure had people scrambling to keep their homes and businesses trom water logging. The hospital got caught with its roof down and wnue no one drowned, with streams running run-ning everywhere, it was pretty exciting ex-citing for a while. Some motel owners along the creek moved their kids and records to safer ground. It doesn t happen very often in Panguitch but when it does, it's not just a sizzle-sozzle sizzle-sozzle but a sod-soaker. This week, along with the storm, has seen the deaths of five ex or present residents of Panguitch. Pangui-tch. It's been a time of sadness, but it was good to see those home for the funerals whom we haven't seen for awhile. The V Worthen family was home for Janice's services. A large group of young men and young women attended Youth Conference at Snow College in Ephraim. Reporting on the event were Stacia Proctor, Christy Bulk-ley, Bulk-ley, and James Matthews. They had a great time. Leaders Karla Owens, Bonnie Dalton and Clair Baldwin were some of the referees for the bunch and found that it was an inspirational in-spirational and learning experience in which they grew much closer to their young companions. Bob and Beverly Miller Davis are here to spend time with both their moms, Lula Davis and Velta Miller, who are getting along well after they both had serious medical Roberta Stowell Fowler loaded up her kids and headed home to Oregon after a lengthy visit with her mother Merle Stowell. While here they spent time at Bryce and Zion Canyons and visited with their many aunts and uncles in the Proctor Proc-tor families. The neighborhood enjoyed en-joyed seeing Roberta home and gasping at how much the kids had grown. That must be a sign of age when we say "but they were just little when I saw them last." |
