Truck driver Jerry Torgerson, 26, Kanab, northbound on U.S. 89, told investigating officer Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Gaylen Moore that he saw the pickup as it waited for two other vehicles to pass. He told Moore that he unit overturned three miles soutn of the U-132-U. S. 89 junction Tuesday morning. He said he braked as he swerved, the heavy logging truck straddling the guardrail slowing almost to a stop as it struck the rear bumper of the pickup. He told the officer he felt the load begin to tip to the right, dumping the load of logs off the guard rail into the ravine and tipping tip-ping the entire unit on its side. Torgerson, badly shaken but apparently appar-ently uninjured, climbed through the open window of the cab.
