Show Economics Authority To Speak Interested local business owners and managers and would-be Garfield Gar-field County economic developers will have an opportunity to quiz one of the state's leading experts on economic development in Utah when R. Thayne Robson speaks at Bryce Valley High School auditorium on Tuesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. Robson, executive director of the Bureau of Economic and Business Busi-ness Research and Professor of Management at the University of Utah, is stopping in Garfield County to share information before traveling on to St. George the following day to speak to members of the Chamber of Commerce there. The BEBR compiles and protduces all vital statistics for the state. Robson's statistics are widely used by banks, government agencies, universities, businesses and industries as one of the most relia-ble sources of information in the state. Results of his research provide the statistics that are so widely relied upon for economically sound decisions. Robson, the author of numerous books and journal articles, serves as an advisor to business and governent leaders. He is widely recognized as an authority on the economy of Utah and the Rocky Mountain Region. He has been a member for several years of the Utah Economic Coordinating Committee. There is no charge for Robson's workshop which will be conducted on an informal basis. |
