It is expected to provide safer crossing of the river for both regular users and the many visitors who will be using the road during the summer tourist season. The Forest Service has recently spent substantial funds upgrading and improving trails and trailheads throughout the Losee and Casto Canyon areas and visitation has increased throughout the area. Started on Nov. 1, it is anticipated that back walls and wing walls will be in place by Nov. 16. Then the super structure will be set in place. Thirty-six-foot steel beams will strengthen the structure for new bridge over Sevier River. Well-used county road leads into Casto and Losee Canyon 8 more recently discovered by tourists.
