Show SOC li ITEMS OF THE WEB anniversary of the organization ot of the relief relict society was most fittingly observed at the academy of music in this city tuesday evening more than couples were in attendance and participated in the evenings activities special features ot of the evening included a splendid dance review by prof harold christensen ind and miss aliss ruth hutli paine ot of ogden beautifully demonstrating the modern dances namely fox trot castle waltz and the charleston this number was ft particularly interesting prof christensen holding his audience spellbound while gracefully and bibly executing and illustrating the various steps A number of beautiful costume dances were given under the direction of miss evelyn sEvelyn sorensen Soren seh and included the highland fling by miss olive by water the irish folk dance by miss eva adams and the dutch dance by the misses nellie and elva sl monse monsena nW A C bryan of nephi father ot of mrs J D call entertained with the solo dance the concluding number of the program was the prize barsou vienne which was won by mrs airs J D call and mr IV W A C bryon the prize was a choice box ot of chocolates later all enjoyed dancing the music being furnished by norm watkins walking orchestra the party was enjoyed by old and young and proved to be one of the big social events of the season IT ir f t mr air and mrs A J munns were the recipients of a pleasant surprise party at the home of their daughter mrs airs hy C jensen thursday evening the event being in honor of their wedding anniversary A delicious hot dinner was served at one long table with covers laid tor for eighteen guests potted plants and terns ferns prettily adorned the rooms and were used tor for the table decorations out of town guests included dr and mrs G M howard of duchesne utah mrs airs john howard ot of chicago mrs airs jensen was assisted in serving by mrs airs G al M howard mrs J A ralphs who was detained on account of sickness was the only member of the family not able to be present 4 mr and mrs dan olson oison entertained at their home monday evening complimentary to adolph M olson who leaves soon for a mission to the southern states A delicious hot dinner was served at two long tables which were decorated with colors in keeping with st patricks day and the same color scheme was carried out in the living rooms the following program was rendered vocal numbers by maxwell olson duet by daisy and sevena madsen reading ora hanson solo adolph olson a dance number ty by horace olson thirty guests enjoyed the party those from out of town included mr and mrs francis sheffield and daughters lucille eunice and beth ot of logan mr and mrs irs warren hanson of 0 east garland irland Gc t the home economics club met at the home of mrs abbie friday ratter afternoon noon vice president mrs orson korth was presiding and in charge following a short business meeting the following program was rendered two beautiful vocal solos mrs airs callie kofoed accompanied by mrs airs adorilla spencer reading mrs airs henry slander and piano selections mrs airs parley lee and mrs eddis W watkins later dainty refreshments were served to twelve members and three guests ot of the club the serving committee included mrs arthur stowell and mrs letha richardson walter valter ahlin pianist oscar heppley cellist and the misses elsie and margaret heppley all of 0 salt lake cit city y were weekend week end guests at the home a ot bishop and mrs II if W valentine Vai entine in this acty while mile here these two gifted musicians entertained with a number 00 0 beautiful selections at the sunday school in the third ward ms also at the ahe box elder high school at the stake and ward officers meeting and again at the farewell social given in honor ot of adolph al olsen miss aliss rietta krefter entertained with a number of 0 vocal solos accompanied by aklin and If heppley eppley mrs it 3 timms and mrs airs john M eurt were hostesses at the first of a series eries of at attractively arranged bridge luncheons at the home of the former yesterday afternoon luncheon was served at five small tables each kent centered ered with a bud vase of spring lowers flowers prizes were awarded to mrs airs R P forsgren and consolation to mrs airs clifford jenson the second party will be given saturday afternoon at the home of mrs airs timms and bridge will be the diversion of the entertainment |
