Show Senrieville Lee Sorenson and his mother Beth Sorenson brought Thora Partner Part-ner home after visiting in Las Vegas. Ve-gas. Marilyn Beard took Thora to Orem to visit until the middle of May when they will attend a Partner Part-ner reunion in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Patterson and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Patterson were in Phoenix, Ariz., moving the Kevin Pattersons back here to live. They purchased a mobile home in Kanab and have had it moved onto the vacant lot east of the Dorian Johnson home. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Rose traveled trav-eled north to visit Janis Kline and to attend a grandparent's day at their grandchildren's elementary school. Rhoda Shafer and Bcrlhene Griffin Grif-fin went to Salt Lake City. Rhoda will visit daughter Donna Metcalf and then go by plane to Richmond, Ky., and Hamilton, Oh., where she will visit her sisters-in-law. Bcrthcne Griffin will see her grandson, grand-son, Richard Griffin, from Midland, Tex., off on his mission to the Republic Re-public of China. Shauna Mortcnsen, Page, Ariz., spent a week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Quilter. Andy Mortensen spent the weekend on his way north with a load of lumber. Art teacher Jim Clarke and his wife, Erma Clarke, took Leah Smith and Patrick Clarke from Bryce Valley High School, and Tcrrie Haldwin, Lisa Henrie and Laurel Mathews from Panguitch High School to the art college and natural history museum at Denver. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Smith were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pollock of Taylorsville and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Alvcy of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Link Chynowclh are proud parents of a baby boy born on April 22. LaRona Callahan was in Salt Lake City with daughter, Cindy Ramirez, of St. George, who has a small daughter with heart problems. Sharon Izatt, Salt Lake City, was here visiting her mother, Mary Card Izatt, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Clark. The David Roses were on their way to the St. George LDS Temple , early Friday moming when their car hit a slick spot on a sharp turn on Bear Valley Road skidding off the road some 150 feet. The car, belonging to Ken Piatt, was demolished. Fortunately the Roses received no serious injuries and are recovering at home. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Smith of Murray visited his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith. They were on their way home from Yuma, Ariz. The sacrament meeting program was presented by the Delano Callahan Calla-han family with a son by the choir. Leah Smith was presented her Young Womanhood Recognition award. A single adult meeting was held on Sunday. Stake Youth Conference Con-ference will be held Friday and Saturday Sat-urday at Hole-in-the-Rock where guest speaker will be Elder Angus Bcllistone. Mr. and Mrs. Thorley Johnson visited in Cedar City with the Thomas Brough family and attended the baptism for Stuart Brough. Thor Johnson took them on to Bountiful where Thorley had an appointment ap-pointment at Veterans Hospital for tests. They also met the Nolan Johnsons who had their youngest son there for eye surgery. |
