Show By Ella Adair Pat and RaVae Pollock are staying stay-ing with their daughter LaPreal Wilson in St. George where Pat will undergo treatment for cancer on an outpatient basis. They wish to express their appreciation for the cards, calls, visits and prayers in their behalf. We extend our sympathy to Kathy Shakerspcar for the death of her father. All family members were in attendance at his services. We are happy to see Price Allred and Shirley Haycock home from the hospital. The cold weather did not hamper ham-per the members of the Relief Society Soci-ety from enjoying their annual summer picnic at the park Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Keela Mangum gave a very informative lesson on cultivating cultiva-ting good health habits. Brady Syrett gave his mission report in LDS Sacrament Meeting Sunday. Deward and Revonne Smith visited vis-ited with the DelRell Sudweeks family. Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson spent the week in St. George attending atten-ding LDS Temple sessions. Fran Young visited with Minnie Min-nie Nielsen and went with the Tropic group for lunch in Henrie-ville. Henrie-ville. Violet and Christine Little-field Little-field were overnight visitors in Cedar City with the Max Hodsons. Gerry Moon has been a patient in the hospital this week recovering recover-ing from surgery. Shauna Anderson had back surgery in the hospital in St. George this week. Visiting at the home of E. R. and Dixie Shakespear were their daughter, Christy Gardner, and grandsons; the Ed and Camille Shakespears; Danny and Vickie Shakespear with their family; Rett Shakespear and son Kenny; and Dixie Edwards. Also visiting with the Shakespears was Aleta Dodds, from Lancaster, Calif. Jim Thomas, who has spent the past five weeks at the Veterans Administration Blind Rehabilitation Rehabilita-tion Center at Palo Alto, Calif., reports encouraging progress. He is receiving special counseling and training in mobility, typing, dexterity dex-terity and living skills for the blind. He will return home in mid-October. |
